Use this template to systematically analyze your replays, identify mistakes, and improve gameplay.

2. Drafting Phase Analysis

Team Composition:

  • Did your team have a balanced lineup (e.g., initiation, damage, crowd control)?
  • Were there strong hero synergies?

Enemy Draft:

  • Were there hard counters to your hero or team strategy?
  • Did your draft lack answers to enemy threats (e.g., silences, mobility, saves)?

3. Laning Phase (0–10 Minutes)

Last Hits/Denies:

  • How efficient were your last hits/denies compared to the lane matchup potential?
  • Did you miss easy CS due to mechanical errors or harass?

Positioning:

  • Were you zoning/being zoned effectively?
  • Did you overextend or play too passively?

Matchup Analysis:

  • Were regen and starting items optimal for the lane?
  • Did you leverage power spikes (e.g., level 2/6) or fail to punish enemy weaknesses?

Pulling/Stacking:

  • Did supports secure pull timings or contest enemy pulls?
  • Were lanes overly pushed or static at critical moments?

4. Mid-Game (10–25 Minutes)

Objective Focus:

  • Were towers, outposts, or Roshan prioritized after winning fights?
  • Did the team waste time farming instead of pushing advantages?

Map Control & Vision:

  • Were wards/dewards placed in high-impact areas?
  • Did the team play safely in enemy vision or take unsafe farm?

Teamfight Execution:

  • Were key spells (ults, saves, disables) used optimally?
  • Did positioning (frontline/backline) align with hero roles?

Resource Allocation:

  • Was farm distributed efficiently (e.g., cores taking safe lanes, supports jungle)?
  • Did heroes itemize correctly against enemy threats (e.g., BKB vs disables)?

5. Late-Game (25+ Minutes)

High Ground Sieges/Defense:

  • Did the team force fights with buybacks available or take bad engagements?
  • Were creep waves managed properly before pushing?

Roshan/Buyback Management:

  • Did the team secure Aegis timings before key objectives?
  • Were buybacks used to defend or thrown away unnecessarily?

Split-Pushing vs Teamfighting:

  • Did split-pushers create space, or did the team fight 4v5 unnecessarily?
  • Were TP scrolls used effectively to counter split pushes?

6. Key Moments & Turning Points

List 3–5 critical moments (e.g., lost teamfight, missed kill, failed smoke) that swung the game.

7. General Observations

Map Awareness:

How often did you check minimap or miss rotations/ganks?

Communication:

Were pings, voice chat, or missing calls used effectively?

Mechanics:

Were spells/items misused (e.g., missed stuns, late BKBs)?

Did tilt or overconfidence lead to poor decisions?
